Domestic Livestock Processing
At Alta Vista Meats, we provide full-service domestic livestock processing for cattle, pigs, sheep and goats. Whether you prefer to bring your animals directly to the shop in Troy, Montana or want the convenience of our mobile slaughter service, we ensure a clean, humane, and professional experience from start to finish.
We believe every customer should receive their meat exactly the way they prefer. We offer fully customized cutting options for all livestock, allowing you to choose everything from steak thickness, to roast size, and packaging preferences. Whether you want traditional cuts, smaller portions, or specialty processing, our butchers can meet your needs.

Our Policies:
1. Standard wrap is four steaks per package, any quantity less than four, add $.02 to the cut/wrap price.
2. Stew meat and cubing are free up to 5 pounds each, then add $2 per pound.
3. Beef that requires extra trimming of fat, add $.03 to cut/wrap price.
4. Extra lean requests, add $.03 to cut/wrap price.
5. If the beef is overly fat AND there is an extra lean request, add $.06 to cut/wrap price.
6. Any steak thickness under ¾”, add $.02 to the cut/wrap price.
7. There is an excess storage fee of $10/day starting 7 days after customer has been notified.
We are not responsible for mailboxes that are not setup of messages not received.
8. We only accept cash or check as form of payment, any returned check will be a $25 fee.
